First Pull the victim away from the contact with Live electric wire. Push/Pull him away, using a nonconducting ie wooden stick or Chair. Turns off Main Switch where possible.
Check Pulse and Respiration. If cardiac or respiratory arrest, stat external cardiac massage and mouth-to-mouth respiration.
Keep under observation for 24-48 hrs, for development of cardiac arrhythmias. Examine point of entry, legs, axillae and groins for burns. Electric Burns – look small at the surface, but subsequently there is extensive sloughing of tissues & necrosis.
